New ZigZag Athlete : Ariane Martel-Bouchard

Biography

ZigZag is very excited to welcome Ariane Martel Bouchard among its athletes!

Passionate about walking and long-distance running, this trail running athlete approached us with a very specific project in mind: to do an Everesting on snowshoes, a world first!

She is therefore launching the challenge, on March 18, to climb Mont Lac-Vert 37 times in order to reach a distance of ascent equivalent to that of Mont Everest (8848 m).

She estimates that her feat will last between 25 and 30 hours during which she forbids herself to sleep!

And as if the feat in itself were not enough, the ultimate goal of this sporting event is to raise a symbolic sum of $8,848 for the Fondation Sur la pointe des pieds foundation, which allows young people with cancer to carry out adventure expeditions.
